The Pre-Registration Learning Path outlines the first phase of the Real Estate Council of Ontario’s (RECO) Real Estate Education Programs. You will have a maximum of 24 months to complete pre-registration.
Through an immersive structure that follows the flow of a real estate transaction, courses lay out the fundamentals of the profession and applicable legislative rules and obligations. Mandatory in-person exams and simulation sessions give learners an opportunity to show that they have an understanding of theory and can apply practical skills before advancing to the next course.
Before applying, applicants should understand and meet the admission requirements.
The Real Estate Education Programs’ components and support services are delivered in English. Learners should possess strong English writing, comprehension and speaking skills in order to be able to successfully complete the program(s). Learners are asked to assert they meet the English proficiency requirement during application to a Real Estate Education Program. Applicants must use their full legal name, as required by RECO for registration as a salesperson or broker when applying to a Real Estate Education Program. A non-refundable $75 application fee will apply for all applicants.
To qualify for admission to the Real Estate Salesperson Program, an applicant must have obtained a Canadian secondary school diploma or GED certificate.
